Well, after a little more poking around the net, the build quality and speed swayed me to go with the Tokina. I did order it through Adorama, but of course it's backordered. Someday I'll be able to actually put a lens on my recently received (also through Adorama) Nikon. *sigh*

The Nikkor is in stock, so if after a bit the Tokina doesn't ship, I'll switch.
