3500 is a bad guess compared to 3461?
Especially since the quote claims the car will weigh slightly more than 3461. Heck in the end I will probably have it right inside my range. Even worst case scenario 39 lbs seems pretty darn good to me. Sure, I made a broad guess back then, somewhere between 3500-3700 but we still do not know how serious BMW is about keeping the weight down. If I had to guess today I think I'd say 3525.
Also what does not look right about any of these numbers?
-3461/426 = 8.12
-M5 curb weights I have seen quoted range from 4012 to 4087, with 500 hp (US) this gives 8.02 - 8.17 lb/hp.
