A few years ago when I was looking to buy snow tires for my S2000 I did some research on the Hankook Icebears and with the info I was able to gather I concluded they were not a very good winter/snow tire. I ended up going with the Dunlop Winter 3D (winter performance tire) and I was very happy with them. I just picked up a set of TD wheels and Dunlop 18" 3D tires for the M3.

If you want a true snow/ice winter tire then I'd highly recommend the Bridgestone WS60/70 (70 is new this year). Another great winter performance tire, if they have the sizes you are looking for, is the Bridestone LM60 which I am currently using on my Mini.
