Yeah but you probably should have changed your filter before the event. Or if you need to remove the rear axle spindle nut...you're not going back on track and better off getting it towed. Not to mention that you'd have to carry the extra parts.
I'd leave the 36mm socket at home unless you have a large tool box loaded onto a truck or trailer.
