Seems 40ish is the golden age for a M purchase. I've had mine for 4 months and turn 40 in May.
Oh and I don't have EDC on mine either. Got one of the last ones off the lot and only one they were willing to deal on so no choice on options. The ride is rough but certainly not horrible. If you are used to cars with a harsher ride due to sport suspensions or whatever you'll be fine without.
