I am running 285/30/18 on 18x10 et25. I have no major rubbing that I know of at this point, but the fitment is pretty tight. The R-Comp R888s are a little wider than a normal street tire, so I am basically running one of the widest setups in the front. If you plan to run street tires, it has got to fit!
Also consider that I do only run this setup in the summer or for track/autocross. I would definitely recommend a DROP with 285/30; there is a ton of wheel gap, but its great for grip. Much more grip than the
shaved 275/35/18 RA1's I used to run.
