That may very well be true for people who have a newer car like yours or have had a software update recently. But anyone who has not had their software updated this year for example will see changes to the DCT performance after getting the update. If the master tech were to disputes this particular point, then it is most likely because he has been instructed not to talk about it by BMW's legal department.
