Firing order, huh?
So it has nothing to do with:
1) Exahust Valves
2) Exhaust Ports
3) Exhaust Manifolds/headers
4) Exhaust pipes/mufflers
5) Crankshaft Phasing
6) Bore
7) Stroke
8) Compression
9) Valve timing
10)Combustion chamber
I'm obviously being a little sarcastic (as if thats anything new) because I've heard many people over the years claim that firing order has a profound effect on the exhaust note and never bought in. Not only are all of the above listed crucial in effecting the exhaust note, but over the years, I've seen two different engines on stands with the same firing order sound completely different. However, firing order WILL definiely effect the exhaust note if you get it wrong!
