To be honest I'm only 5'5" so pretty much anything other than a Lotus Elise has enough legroom for me
I've driven an E93 M3, E92 335i, and of course my E90 M3. I really didn't notice much difference in legroom. You can still move the seat quite a bit backwards in the sedan.
