As stated above - 1,000 miles on spec oil is nothing. Nothing. I would change oil at half schedule once and get a Blackstone oil analysis. Blackstone will give you specific recommendations. That way you are making good decisions based upon facts - not speculation. Don't give Blackstone oil with 1,000-2,000 miles on it. You won't learn anything useful.
