Coupe - It's more practical, looks better and with sun roof, I get the open air feel
Carbon Fiber roof - not a consideration - just so much bling
Performance - not a consideration - 95% of my driving is on a highway or city street
Weight - not a consideration - See performance above - Besides I need to loose a few pounds myself.
Weather - Big consideration - With a few exceptions there are very few true convertible days around the country. At some point you've got to put the top up to keep from being fried. Someone said they like to drive to work in the morning with the top down. Agree, but by 11:00AM the top probably has to come up until 4 or 5PM. (Reminder - I said there were exceptions). Even in Florida and Southern Calif mid-day sun dictates the top coming up. Spring and Fall probably best convertible weather, but I drive a car year round.
Noise - not a consideration - Coupe with windows open and roof open not too much quieter than the convertible; besides, cars next to me don't need to be listening to my radio (big irritant)
