That's cool that Active used to do that.
I've been doing it for a long time for those that request it, but never actually tried it myself until I tuned the car on the latest software version. Thought to myself, why not give it a try.
Once I saw how effective and useful it was, I decided to make it yet another 'perk' of the performance software. I don't think I've launched the car this well in four and a half years of ownership! I definitely recommend it to anyone that has a 6MT car. And for DCT cars, you can stop people from reving to 7K with no load on the engine by restricting the redline also.
