Thanks for the warm welcome. I got mine in Alpine White...I promise I did give the other 3 colours a chance, but I whittled it down to Yellow and White, and since my 2nd car is bright yellow (1976 Mk2 Escort) I figured I better go with white, plus if I did get the Edition in Yellow people would think I have a fetish for the colour yellow.
BMW rang me 2 days ago to tell me the car is built and that it will be shipped from Germany in 2 days....so it should be on its way!!! He said it should arrive in 2 weeks!! (Ha, some might say I have a thing for the number, “2”)
Luckily I have just taken on a meaty project...A Variable wheel base car....its making my head hurt...but it is taking my mind of the new car arriving.
I will find it hard to keep the revs down...would be nice if you could use the I-drive to set a soft limiter at 5k revs. Can’t wait to let the engine sing all the way to 8.3k!!
