one of the biggest detractors from sharpness is the layers of crap they put on top of the sensors to get the ISO up, I'm hoping they've refined this process a lot for this camera and the quality wins out. but time will tell...

I kind of wish they didn't worry so much about video capabilities and put the technowlogy more into the abilities of the camera for shooting, after all it's a "camera" I know that will piss some of the video folks off, but that's why there's 2 different markets. And i'm half wondering if the reason for the smaller sensor is due to the abilities of the video side of things taking away from the stills side.
I'm with you about the priority of video. I'd like to see them really focus on that in one body, like the 5D Mk??, where they made their name in video. On the pro bodies they can throw the video in since they've got the technology readily at hand, but don't let it impact decisions such as noise vs. detail, etc.
