I actually went ahead and used some of both. A little tape and a little beta link. Specifically, I used beta link on the ends and some throughout rest of spoiler(wherever I left a gap without tape). When using tape, be sure to put the tape all the way out to the edge of the spoiler, not just in the grooves(this applies to the side of spoiler sitting on top of trunk). For the part of the spoiler that makes contact with the lip of the trunk, you'll need to follow the groove, as there is only a small strip of where you can actually apply the tape. If you are going to use beta link, be extra careful and make sure to clean any smudges or smears ASAP.
