Do a search for a thread I started here in the track section a few months ago--I was also interested in a harness bar I could use for my E90 M3 so I could run harnesses and finally give up on the Schroth QuickFit that's been teasing us for months and months. Quite a few people here, though, strongly discouraged me from doing a harness bar, saying that even the ones from reputable makers are half-assed solutions at best, and could potentially be more dangerous than running stock belts.

A lot of people seem to think the best bet is either keeping things stock, or putting in a dedicated, welded-in, tested and proven cage with harness mounting points welded to appropriate spots in the car (for lap belt mounts and anti-sub mounts).
