Left/Right for me, hands down. Test drove an automatic 335i before buying my 6MT and at first I couldn't get it to downshift. Took me a while to figure out that it was a push/pull setup. I found it very counterintuitive and it didn't even occur to me at first that they would set it up that way. Why even have two paddles then? Natural assumption for me is that one paddle is for up and one is down. I mean it was good enough for F1 and Ferrari.
Oh well, that's why the car I bought has 3 pedals.
