There are competing firms out there as well. None of them cover normal wear, and AFAIK none of them cover curb rash. But potholes, nails, etc. are all covered.

Actually, I bought the R.O.A.D. InTire Warranty (Gold upgrade) which covers everything, including cosmetic repair to the wheels. Bought it through my local BMW dealer. Found a link that describes the warranty in summary form (see below):
