Actually the Torotrak IVT system can cope with huge amounts of torque, more than you could possibly imagine. I honestly don't know how much it would be but it is vast.

CVT/IVT are very unusual in the way they perform, not something that appeals me but then again the performance they can be capable of produce is very appealing.
