thanks to kie, i recently bought a Sony Ericsson W580
i love the phone, but prior to buying it there were features on youtube that really made me want the phone. now that i have it those features (menus, mp3 ringtones, etc) are not available. after doing some online research i learned that my phone was "branded" by AT&T which, to my understanding, means that AT&T has actually blocked these features for whatever reason. so am i to understand that AT&T has installed some firmware to keep these factory features unavailable? what would it take for me to "debrand" my phone, thanks for the help
