Yes, maybe thats the case when the fan is still on after engine turned off, fan wouldn't have much to make noise over if the coolant wasn't moving, thanks.
Another "use case" - even without the Rest function - could be during stop/start, maybe. Coded this our long ago so in my case do diff.
Thanks again though. My fan rarely stays on after turn off (Nordic climat, rarely over 25C Summer...
), but will definitely keep this in mind as possible reason to get a new pump.
