I notice that Acura tends to price their models close to each other - for example the TSX vs the TL (both with navigation) has just $5,000 between them. So $38,000 sounds about right and it's also close to the figure you have.
Nonetheless, I think $38,000 so far is the best bargain for a new car and the options the RDX is equipped with (so far at least purportedly) sounds quite impressive. The SH-AWD sounds good on paper but I really wonder how it competes against say the Quattro system.
