I still love the E31. It has M1 bloodline to it and lines that seem timeless beyond it's early-90's birth. It is a big GT coupe, and even if straight line acceleration numbers may be close to an E90 328i, it is not as light or nimble handling. With two DMEs on the not-so-simple S70 engine as well as a huge inventory of complicated electronic parts, it would be more work to keep humming...
