I think spacers are ok if they are hubcentric. The windows need to be down for egress if there is an accident. I have gone with the BMW club and the Alfa club. Basically, there is a meeting in the morning where you get paired with an instructor. Then you get four 25 minnute sessions of driving with an instructor. The BMW club has classes A,B,C and D, where the Alfa club has A,B, and C. The Proformance school is a different matter.
