yes it does and that is why i brought a porsche into the conversation. you have to agree that there is simply no comparison between cadillac and porsche in terms of vehicle quality, prestige, handling or speed. and we also have to agree that porsche is a step above BMW. so i took the most powerful convertible cadillac and the most powerful porsche convertible and tried to make a comparison highlighting how ridiculously the cadillac is priced. first off, it's an american-built car. second, yes, the porsche only has 355hp but yet manages to do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds (the caddy does 0-60 in 4.6 sec). so with almost 100hp less than the XLR-V, the porsche is only 0.1 seconds slower in the 0-60 test. add to it the above-mentioned porsche qualities and almost $3,000 cheaper sticker price, and it tells you how unsubstantiated the $100k cadillac price is. i'm not saying the car is bad, i'm saying the pricing is simply outrageous.
and speaking of beasts, how can Z06 with 505hp 7-liter engine start at $65k???
