If I just look at pure unemployment, Houston is 6.1% and Dallas is 6.4%. Houston is marginally better, granted, but those fluctuate every month. I'd say that's a more meaningful stat than what you posted....Anyway, there are too many ways to measure economic superiority, but I would guess a full analysis would show they are pretty comparable, just as their unemployment rates are comparable. Let's just say their economies are equal but I still give Dallas the edge on all other items I listed.
