The 300Hz is what JL Audio
suggests.
Actual frequency is 100Hz. I just did an E93 and set them up at ~175Hz HP.
The LC6i will only give you a low level, summed version of the high level, crossed over OEM signal. So whatever you do not like now it will just be a different kind of not like after the LC6i.

Right now I have my 8"s crossed over at 150hz (via the JL audio/300) and when I try to go higher - even 180hz it starts to get a little boomy. I don't know if that is typical of 8"s or just because they are stock?
The Focal's spec are down to 120hz BUT they are much more expensive.
I have the XD600/6 on the way, along with the LC6i (Enhanced Premium Sound) - over the next few weeks I am going to install everything with the stock 4"s and see how it sounds. I am hoping that the XD600 might bring out some detail in the stock speakers (tweeters) and I can live with it but am thinking that I will want to go with replacement speakers also.
