Obviously, it sounds better and is a little more responsive. I'm not saying it's because of a K&N filter but a filter that is not clogged.

He's right, the bottom is down right nasty. A leaf or two may get stuck in the top, blocking a pleat or two, but the bottom gets the brunt of the road grime straight from the duct in the front.
