Agree w/ another poster that some extra time &
smoothness helps on 1 -> 2. Also, now mine's been worked in the 'graunchiness' of the change into 2nd has mellowed w/ use. First few thou' k miles I did not enjoy its resistance.
I still have the occasionally uneven shift when not thinking and just trying to bang it in: bit like virginal sex!
