After doing a lot of research on exhaust system's for the M3; something always made me want an Eisennman exhaust with an X-Pipe. Now in my previous 335xi, I was running Catless Downpipes with a muffler delete. The drone was beyond annoying! LOL This was something that I did not want in the M3. Besides, NYS Inspection will pick up on running no cats. I do know the tunes will delete the issues with running no cats but I did not want the hassle or taking the chance.
So I contacted IND and Andrew was nothing but helpful. We all know how found we all are of IND and their amazing work! I came across a used Eisennman Sport and Fabspeed X-Pipe that Dave, bapesta206, was selling. Dave was a great guy to work with.
Despite me buying a used Eisennman I knew that something had to be done with it to make it what I truly wanted. Being a BMW Client Advisor & M Specialist
, I always try to make my customers dreams realities. I contacted Andrew and we spoke about Cermaic coating the entire exhaust to a matte black finish. I am personally not fond of seeing the exhaust from the back end, my opinion.
Andrew and team did an amazing job on the exhaust! It was to the point where I could not even tell that it was used!!!! Total turn around time once it got to IND was 1 week. Which was not long at all considering the exhaust was used and they had to prep it for the coating. The tips do match the exhaust since I originally wanted a High Gloss Black. Andrew said that he has seen some of HG tips crack and advised that we just match the exhaust due to the heat. I mean, who I am to go against a company that does this everyday! LOL
Once the exhaust was installed and I fired up the car for the first time; I fell in LOVE all over again.
It was much louder on a cold start but not obnoxious. Nothing merely like the 335i. The X-Pipe deleted the Secondary Cats and the Resonators. The throttle blipping on the DCT now is AWESOME!!! As many have stated "the car should come this way stock" and I couldn't agree more!! Below is the pics of the exhaust and I will try to upload a video for everyone to hear. Can I upload a video directly on here?? Last few pics are from the 335xi that I had.
I appreciate all the comments and I am open to any questions that anyone has!
