It is a legitimate question. If there is a disproportionate representation of a population segment, it begs the question. Lets say that 5% of the US population is Asian American, but 20% of the BMW owners are Asians (completely made up numbers). Well, then it would be interesting to theorize why?
My theory is that Asians are usually more successful, and in the higher income brackets and therefore will be overly represented in the luxury car segment, not just BMWs.
There are a certainly a lot of Asian Americans on this board. But that may or may not be a true representation of BMW ownership, just this board.
Stereotyping gets a bad rap, but it is usually an exaggeration embedded in some shred of reality.
