This is definitely what I'll do, if I find that my tires are spinning on the rims. I guess the point of that is to balance the wheel, and then just live with whatever imbalance is added by the tire. That would minimize the worst case, any way (tire is imbalanced, but then works its way 180 degrees from the mounted position, doubling the amount of imbalance).
Honestly, I'm finding this somewhat mindblowing.
I've personally experienced vibration on the road from improperly balanced wheels/tires (though not on this car) and it scares me to think of what that would do at twice the speed or more.
