I basically took a piece of dense rubber I have at my shop and ground the shape of the top of the radar detector into the rubber piece. Then I gave it the proper angle of the wind shield and stuck it on with double sided tape. Cover with a bit of leather and you're done. The bad thing with this setup is that you cant remove the radar detector at will but I don't really care since I never do anyway.
