I re-weighed the OEM brakes

I was moving my OEM brakes when I was able to find my Pelouze postal scale. So I figured I what the heck, why not weigh them to verify the numbers that OC kid came up with. Well, I was in for a bit of a surprise. The numbers I came up with were quite a bit less than what was previously thought.

Front caliper previously thought to be 15.2 pounds was actually 14.5 pounds with pads and OEM rubber line attached.

Rear caliper previously measured at 12.1 pounds I measured it at 11 pounds with pads and OEM rubber line.

Front rotor previously measured at 26.6 pounds I measured at 22.7 pounds.

Rear rotor previously measured at 22.8 pounds I measured at 19.7 pounds.

So then the question I had was just how accurate is the little Pelouze scale. I grabbed a 25 pound dumbbell to find out. It weighed in at exactly 25 pounds.

So these numbers are pretty accurate and might make the stock brake guys happier. I believe OC kid used a bathroom scale to weigh the brakes before so that could be the reason for the difference.
