Same marketing philosophy keeps an S63 out of the M3/4 as well. They aren't going to give the M2 the same engine as the larger sibling. Bet on a (very advanced) I4 turbo.
Even with that in mind, I am still more interested in that car than the next M3.

I am also wondering why there ar rumors about an I6 for the M2 ... it makes only sence if the M3 would get some form of V8 ... to my infos I also think the M2 gets an highend-version of the I4 Bi/(Tri)Turbo. One reason because the S63 is keep out of the M3/M4 is because it donīt fit in the X3M and the Z4M ... also for the F3X it would be an very tight fit.
