You can do a pretty good wash with Optimum No Rinse (ONR) as long as you can fill 2 buckets with 2 gallons of water & carry them out to your car. If that's not possible, you can use Optimum Opti-Clean and a bunch of thick microfiber towels, but I don't trust that yet.

I like to spray ONR on in the quick-detailer strength & then use a grout sponge to wash the car. Make sure you rinse out the sponge in between small areas (I do the hood in 4 sections) in a 2nd bucket of clean water with a grit guard. This way, your fresh ONR bucket stays clean. You can buy all of these things from forum sponsors. I get my grout sponge & buckets from Home Depot. You also need 2-3 good microfiber drying cloths, I like the waffle pattern ones. Any of the detailing shops that sell ONR & Grit-Guards will have these.

The car will much easier to clean if you keep a coat of sealant or wax on it. The type doesn't matter, as long as it is of decent quality. I've used One Grand, Autoglym, Meguiars, and Griot's and they all work well as long as you keep a fresh coat on.
