Agreed. It is not only the mpg though, M3 is quite heavy, so need to include tire & pad/rotor expense as well. My goal is to have a DD and a track car where the total value is about an M3. And with this plan, I can put more than 1000 miles to my track car.
During the time I owned my M3, I tracked it, and it has truly phenomenal performance for what it is.
