It just has to do with the design of each trunk really. The coupe and sedan have different dimensions on the deck lid, so the contour for the coupe roundel is a little more subtle than the sedan one. It is present in both designs though.
The OEM E92 trunk does not have any contour for the roundel, but it does have 2 alignment holes.
