Having lived in Saskatoon from '95 to '99 for university and having driven an LSD'd 1986 "327i", I don't think I'd risk an M3 there. As confirmed above, the snow removal continues to be sub-standard.
Personally I'd look at a used Subaru for booting around Saskatoon.
