It took me exactly 6 seconds to remove my side grills. The only thing you need to be careful of is the matte black pieces they sent me had the pre-drilled holes for the screw too small. I almost cracked/ruined them. Make sure the screws are going in smoothly before you just start cranking them down. I noticed mine were cracking so I stopped, pre-drilled a larger hole, then assembled them. If they crack too much you're screwed. Good luck.

P.S. The key to the removal is to use fingertip pressure on the underside as you're pulling up. It releases the little prongs on the underside and it just pops right out. You don't even need fingertip pressure on the top side. All underside pressure.
