Might improve MPG a little too? Since it's not as sensative, you won't be jacking the throttle as much.
My wifes GTS, without the "power" button (sport button on the Porsche) actually closes off the tuned exhaust and gets better MPG, as well as the remap of the throttle. It's pretty nice.
