Yesterday I was driving on the freeway and a couple times as I accelerated I felt the knob give a small kick and it made a weird sound. I can't associate the sound with anything but the kick was somewhat like when you don't quite get a MT into gear and it grinds a little (but not quite as aggressive). I doubt the DCT knob is connected directly to the drive train but I might be wrong, anyone else ever felt this?

My other idea was that I removed the integrated phone adapter and did not have the rubber cover in the armrest for a few days during which I dropped a chapstick into the void which might be rolling around causing some issues under the center console?
