Revived this thread since that's exactly what I'm dealing with. Shimmy happened the first time I sped over 60-65 (on stock 19s), but not after that. Tires at 35 psi all around... BUT car wasn't used for 2 weeks, and just has 1,750 miles on the clock.

Could my stock tires be flat-spotting that easy? I thought maybe in winter, but not in a hot garage. Anyway, it wasn't that bad, but obviously noticeable. Am not going to bother taking the car in now, but just hope it doesn't get worse over time. What is it? It's obviously not a balance issue, as it'd happen all the time. Loose tie-rod ends? Loose rack-and-pinion gears? Or just a case of flat-spotting? I'd appreciate your comments. Thx.
