UUC SSK was recently installed (no DSSR) and there was a clear improvement from the stock shifter. Every throw is not only shorter, but there's a strong gated feel / notch for each gear. I like the increased precision / diesel feel when I'm shifting fast, especially at high speeds. Zero issues with synchros or the grinding some other ppl mentioned.
If you like the buttery, and slightly rubbery OEM shifter throw - then don't change it. At the end, it's a preference sort of mod I believe. It was worth $$ IMO.
