The fact that any Cadillac can be compared to a BMW, let alone an M3 in terms of performance shows how much Cadillac has eveolved. In 1969 such a comparison would only have been done as a joke,

I was in a CTS-V for a few laps of Monticello Motorsports yesterday. I am not saying I would prefer one to an M3 but I have to give GM/Cadillac credit for building an excellent car (that I am unlikely to going to buy.)
