Maybe I'm cynical but I have a hard time believing anyone has a leg up on getting a track day setup at COTA at this point. I think the track has much higher priorities o worry about than us. I just drove by the track...still looks like a work in progress. I'm sure every effort is being geared towards F1 prep. Then aren't next big hurdles the Australian V8 supercars and MotoGP? I would imagine everyone will take a sigh of relief and then F1 2013 will be right around the corner.
But...if the BMWCCA Lone Star Chapter can pull this off...I will happily eat this post and take a kick in the nuts! Just go easy on me, heh?

In case you haven't noticed, Grand-Am will be there March 2nd, so perhaps they are working on a tie-in with that event. Also, WEC comes September 22nd. Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until spring for a LSC event.
