I never found Thailand THAT bad. Sure, you can fit 5 lanes of traffic in a road built for 3 lanes. Or 2 lanes... but you can also drive at any speed you want in the countryside and if you're caught, you just pay the police $20. Bribery is rather liberating, provided you have the money.
