My dealer sent me a new spare key for my car and provided the following instructions:
1. Insert fob into dock
2. Start car
3. Run for 15-20 seconds
4. Turn off car, eject fob
5. Step out of car and check lock/unlock and trunk
Worked for me. I think I confirmed functionality again after the program by starting the car and checking transmission engagement.
