I'm with Vic, at least until either my left leg falls off or MT is just no longer an option. 29 years of driving an MT and someday I may enjoy not using all my limbs to drive, but until then, I'm good.
Also, with these things out of warranty, what will the long term cost be of the DCT? If it's anything like the other BMW automatics, it can become far more expensive than a clutch, no?
As another note, I seriously enjoy the technology BMW has put forth with the DCT. Lambos/Ferraris as we all know aren't daily drivers, and, even though I'm of Sicilian descent, Italians don't build cars to last so comparing those dual clutch systems would pale in comparison to what BMW has accomplished here with these powerful S65s as daily drivers. Truly remarkable.
