I live in the middle of Iowa (originally from Moline, IL) and I've had my E92 M3 for a week now and have been driving it back and forth to work on the factory 19"s just fine and the lowest it's been is low to mid 30's and it's been fine.
I plan on making it thru this winter without snow tires (since the season is almost over) and then getting some early next season. I mean I'm not going to drive it in snow (I'll bum a ride to work) but anything other than snow it'll be fine
